Jordan Waring:
Jordan Waring is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Cardea Capital and is based in Barcelona. Jordan has successfully founded, developed, managed, and invested in successful businesses in financial services since 1986. A hands-on and dynamic leader, he brings more than 30 years of experience in fixed income, equities, private debt, commercial real estate financing, and alternative financial solutions. He has served in senior management roles, including CEO and managing partner, for more than 20 years. As CEO of Auriga USA, the US subsidiary and licensed broker/dealer for Auriga Securities, a Spanish Investment Bank, he grew the team from 3 people to more than 75 and successfully steered the firm to high profitability in the midst of the 2008 - 2009 financial crisis. Subsequently, Jordan founded several successful fixed income proprietary trading operations as a consultant, including for Aalto Invest in the UK and BH Securities a.s. in the Czech Republic.
Leah Cox:
Leah is the Managing Director of Melana Capital, which is a boutique business focused on structuring co-investments and club deals for family office clients. The Melana business has recently developed into the digitalised platform for private investors and family offices to share their co-investment opportunities in a safe and controlled environment under the Ianua.market brand. She previously ran the Capital Introduction business within the Apex Group. Having started her career in the Alternative Funds industry nearly 20 years ago at Credit Suisse First Boston, after which she worked for a Long/Short Equity Fund in Sales/Marketing/IR. She subsequently worked for a Global Macro Fund in the same capacity. Leah went back to the sell side working with the Prime Brokerage team at Bear Stearns International and then more recently with Deutsche Bank. During her career Leah has built up an extensive network of Investors, managers and influencers across the industry, with deep knowledge and experience of all aspects of fund formation, servicing and asset-raising.
ISLA CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
Toby Main:
Toby started his career at UBS Investment Bank in London working in the Equity Prime Brokerage team servicing the Hedge Fund clients of the bank. He moved to Bedrock Asset Management to join the trading and portfolio management team for their Macro and Long Only Equity funds and eventually moved to Geneva to look after the offshore client base within portfolio management and eventually on the Institutional Advisory desk. Toby founded Isla Capital Management SA in 2016 with the aim of servicing the ultra-high net worth community and the smaller institutional companies with their capital market needs. Toby speaks English, French and is (trying) to learn Portuguese.
